Zoolander: Brainless Comedy, Non?

the Poster:

the Trailer:

the Plot:

Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) is an award-winning male model who is "really, really, ridiculously good-looking." Hansel (Owen Wilson) is his nemesis, a model who won the Male Model of the Year, denying Derek's fourth year straight win. Hansel's career is just beginning and Derek's popularity is starting to fade.

After a "walk off" duel that was won by Hansel, Derek decided to quit.

However Mugatu (Will Ferrell), a fashion designer who was plotting the assassination of the Prime Minister of Malaysia had Derek brainwashed to be the killer with the help of his assistant, Katinka (Milla Jovovich) and Derek's agent, Maury (Jerry Stiller).

Matilda (Christina Taylor), a newspaper reporter who was a friend of Derek uncovered a plot where models that worked for Mugatu often found dead by curious circumtances. She then alerted Derek and they went to meet a mysterious informer who turned out to be a former hand model, JP Prewitt (David Duchovny) who confided that a secret fashion industry organisation was behind the series of assassination of famous people by using Mugatu as a front. When pursued by lethal Katinka and her goons, Derek and Matilda went to Hansel's abode to hide.

After coming clean about each other, Hansel and Derek become friends and join forces against Mugatu and ultimately saving the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Hasan.

Using his latest signature look named "Magnum", Derek thwarted Mugatu's attempt at the PM's life and became a hero.

(Hasan the PM. a far cry from Tun M's looks who happened to be the PM when this movie came out)

the Riviu:
looking back at the trailer and the short clips, i admit, the story was funny. brainless funny at that. watch it if you are that bored and interested about Zoolander pertaining to this following pix:

captioned: Hansel finally met the REAL Prime Minister of Malaysia.

yup. a brainless comedy that literally had so many stars in it as cameo appearence that i lost count after Natalie Portman. and there are so many scenes that were ROTF funny..

hahahahah :no words:

the Magnum! should have included the part where Derek spoke in Malay in addressing the PM. that would have been so hilarious :)
